Embroidering aprons for the Child Development Center at Manchaca UMC
First row of quilt is ready! I need to built a project board. Perhaps with pvc pipe and stretched canvas. Anyone made one before?
The third block is finished! The brown material under the block is going to be the quilt backing. I included the jelly roll I’m using from modafabrics.com. This is called Wrens and Friends designed by Gina Martin. I love how it complements the embroidery design. The embroidery is really easy to do using the excellent tutorial that comes with the design.
These designs are from Designs in Machine Embroidery, http://www.dzgns.com, Volume 80, May/June 2013, “Words to Grow By”, by Katherine Artines. The fading material is called Gelato at Sew Much More in Austin, TexasI love the free designs and using them to learn new techniques! Thank you Katherine Artines!
Here is my block for today! I plan to enhance a few of the squares with a little fabric painting later.
I started a new Prayer Garden quilt today. Hope to post a new block each day!
This a machine embroidered wall hanging on silk called “Fantasy Birds.” The design is from the Anita Goodesign company. This is probably my favorite work.
This is a machine embroidered quilt named “Prayer Garden” by Anita Goodesign. I finished this last summer and donated it to the church craft fair. Have another in the works for a guest bedroom! Will share as it begins to take shape.
